Prostrate Genista is a low growing, partially deciduous shrublet typically grown as a ground cover. It hovers 2’ high with arching stems and a slow, spreading growth habit to about 4’ wide. It has a profusion of yellow flowers in summer. This shrub does best in full sun. It tolerates rocky, dry soil and is drought tolerant once it’s established. Leaves can be semi-evergreen in colder climates but are almost hidden by the flowers.
