Lupinus polyphyllus is native to a large part of western North America. It commonly grows along streams and creeks, and in moist areas. It is a perennial herbaceous plant with stout stems growing to 4.5’ tall. The flowers are produced on tall spikes in a range of colors mainly blue to purple but sometimes pink.
